The critical factor here is that I want each of the OSes to reboot after saving their state to disk instead of powering off; otherwise, I have to turn the computer back on in between which is quite annoying. I'm well aware that it is trivial to configure Linux to do this (see this question). However, I don't know how to tell Windows 7 that I would like it to do the same thing: namely, to reboot the PC after it finishes saving its memory contents to disk instead of powering off like it normally would in a hibernation situation.

Is there any way to do this?
http://andreidionian.com/?id=q/820570 2 Change window frame color on an application basis aquagremlin http://andreidionian.com/?id=users/221650 2014-10-03T23:46:21Z 2018-11-15T12:13:43Z
Although I can change the global theme of Windows, all the elements of the OS have the same color scheme. I have tried to connect, using 'Add devices' under 'devices and printers' to two different Bluetooth mice and my HTC Wildfire android (2.2.1) phone and none of them are detected in the 'Add a device' dialog.

History - Bluetooth initially seemed OK when I first got this laptop. I was able to connect to and use my android phone as a remote with no issues. I got my first Bluetooth mouse, it paired, but after each restart, or even after sleeping, it would not 're-connect' (even though it was listed under Bluetooth devices and supposedly 'working'), and I would need to remove the device and add it again. A week or two ago it stopped working all together. It is not detected at all. I gave up on the mouse and bought another (Lenovo ThinkPad brand) only to find that it was not detected either. I subsequently tested my Android phone and discovered it would not detect either.

One thing of note is under 'Devices and Printers' there is listed a 'HID Keyboard Device' which under properties is listed as a 'Bluetooth HID Device'. This was not previously there before this problem started. Each time I remove it, or uninstall it from Device Manager it will quickly re-install itself, even with all my Bluetooth devices switched off.

My (Google and searching this site) research of this issue has not yielded any definitive answers. I have changed the setting under Device Manager -> Bluetooth -> Properties -> Power Management -> 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' to off. I have attempted to un-install and re-install the Bluetooth hardware, including the 'remove drivers' option and downloading and running the Lenovo Bluetooth installer package (found @ http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS014997). Bluetooth is turned on. All items under Bluetooth properties (Discovery and Connections) are checked. I have tried changing the batteries.

I'm not sure what else I can try, apart from perhaps doing a fresh install of Windows. Any suggestions?
http://andreidionian.com/?id=q/1375585 0 Windows 7 credential manager is being reset on reboot and other share issues user1565957 http://andreidionian.com/?id=users/952437 2018-11-15T08:30:05Z 2018-11-15T08:30:05Z
Bear with me, this is going to be a long one.

There are two computers involved here, both on the same LAN, a desktop and a laptop. After loading it's ok, and it's even ok DURING the limbo - can start whatever game/app I choose through Task Manager>New Task(Run)

Any ideas to fix it or to let it go and upgrade to 8.1/10 ?

Edit: There's something strange in this situation - after loading my 'Quick Launch' all icons on it just warped into the eternity
http://andreidionian.com/?id=q/915173 8 Delete old windows / program files from second drive? frumbert http://andreidionian.com/?id=users/127455 2015-05-15T11:39:50Z 2018-11-14T22:12:07Z
My PC has a bunch of extra drives. Most of them contain old copies of Windows and Program Files. My PC is called "PC", and my admin user is called "Tim". I've assigned ownership of these second drives to the user "PC\Tim", and also given the user "PC\Tim" full control on the drives. I then try to delete either the Windows or Program Files folders on these drives, and get the message.

"You require permission from PC\Tim to make changes to this folder."

The current owner of these folders is listed as "Tim (PC\Tim)". The effective permissions for these folders lists this user has every right.

The absurd "answers" on the microsoft community of course offer things like "Use Disk Cleanup" (which is a blatantly uneducated answer) or "just reformat the drive" (formatting avoids the problem rather than addressing it).

What are the correct steps to delete these old files?
http://andreidionian.com/?id=q/974470 3 How can I fix ugly non-ClearType rendering of webfonts in Firefox without disabling them? Kaypro II http://andreidionian.com/?id=users/18888 2015-09-17T18:17:22Z 2018-11-14T21:46:20Z
I'm having some problems with font rendering in Firefox. I have disabled ClearType/Font Smoothing in Windows 7 because I don't like smoothed fonts (unchecked "Smooth Edges of Screen Fonts" in in the performance section of the System control panel), and now it appears that many uses of downloadable web fonts render very badly in my browser, for example:

Notice that some (but not all) of the vertical lines appear bolded [source of text].

I know this has something to do with downloadable web fonts, since regular fonts appear to render correctly. I can work around the issue by completely disabling downloaded fonts:

gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled = false

However, I would prefer to download the fonts and have them render correctly. How can I configure Firefox so that downloadable web fonts render nicely without font smoothing?

Also, what is the effect that I'm trying to get rid of called? It appears the font is being rendered to make the smoothed version look better, but that's not getting disabled with smoothing is. I'm also having a similar problem in Chrome.

I am using:

Windows 7

Firefox 40

Microsoft office activator | windows activation crack | windows product key | windows 10 product key | windows 7 ultimate product key | windows 7 keygen | activate office 2010 | office Project keys | project professional product key | office 365 office 2016 office 2013 key | office 2016 office 2013 key | windows 7 professional product key | windows 8 professional product key | windows 10 professional product key | office 2016 professional product key |
